I am poem
By Sam Blackburn

I am tall and adequate
I wonder what the NBA is like
I hear the swoosh of the net
I see The massive crowd
I want to do it over and over again
I am tall and adequate

I pretend I am that player
I feel the intensity of the game
I touch the bouncing ball
I worry about the next play
I cry when the game ends
I am tall and adequate

I understand the discipline and hard work
I say I will be as amazing as him someday
I dream of making that shot
I try to do my best
I hope to make the game-deciding play
I am tall and adequate
